Sacraments
In addition to their participation in a monthly school-wide Mass, students visit the Blessed Sacrament each week with their classes for personal prayer and reflection. Benediction and Adoration are also periodically offered during the school year. Through these opportunities for prayer and worship, the community of St. Mary’s offers thanks to God for all His blessings and asks for the grace of continued growth in love for God and neighbor.
Students who are baptized in the Catholic faith will receive the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation in second grade and the Sacrament of Confirmation in eighth grade.
Students in second through eighth grade receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) twice a year as a school community. Students may also schedule a time for confession or spiritual direction through their religion teacher or by speaking directly with the school chaplain.
