"Those who dare to teach, never cease to learn."
I have reached a point in my life where I wish to continue to learn and share this knowledge with others. I completed my undergraduate studies with a bachelor of science in Accounting with the help of an academic and athletic scholarship. Upon graduating, I accepted an accounting position at Kimco Realty Corporation. At the same time I was offered the head junior varsity coach for the Holy Trinity's Girl's Basketball Team. Experiencing two side of the spectrum for two years; Corporate world v Education world, I decided to make a career change.
While teaching 1st grade at a private school in Freeport, I completed my masters in Elementary Education from Molloy College. After having my 1st child in 2010, I decided it was time to hang up my coaching shoes. I coached six years as the assistant softball coach at Molloy College and nine years as the head junior varsity basketball coach at Holy Trinity High school. After having my second child at the end of 2011, I was asked to dust off my cleats and get back into coaching. I coached 3 years as the head Varsity Softball Coach at Holy Trinity High School and then decided to coach the Middle School Softball team here at St. Mary's! This will be my tenth full year teaching at St. Mary's. I look forward to another exciting year in the classroom!
