"Students don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."

I started my career not in education but in finance. No matter what company I've worked for I've always been the one that was asked to teach or mentor the new employee. I've always considered teaching, but it wasn't until I had my sons that it became a serious consideration. As they were growing up I worked as a teacher's aid and that it when I decided I wanted a career change. I hold a Master's Degree in Childhood Education and also a Literacy degree. I started my career working in public school and I always felt something was missing. I realized the missing component, I was not teaching religion. My religion is such an integral part of my life that not being able to share it with the children was stifling me.

I've always had a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother so it was no surprise that when I made the change it would be to work at St. Mary's. This is my ninth year at St. Mary's and I look forward to watching the students grow academically and spiritually.
